Copper SFP: A Practical Solution for Modern Networking

A Copper SFP is a type of transceiver module that enables data transmission over copper cables, usually Cat 5e, Cat 6, or Cat 6a Ethernet cables, instead of fiber optic cables. It fits into the SFP slots of network switches, routers, or media converters and supports standard Ethernet protocols.

Unlike fiber SFPs, which require fiber optic cabling and specialized connectors, copper SFP modules use standard RJ45 connectors. This makes them an excellent choice for short-distance connections within data centers, enterprise networks, and office environments.
